Print Screen, drag, Ctrl+C: WellSnap works the way Lightshot taught you. What changes is what happens next: a blur that cannot be undone, numbered callouts, several screenshots pasted into a chat at once, and nothing uploaded anywhere.

Your screenshots stay yours
Lightshot's upload button puts a screenshot on prnt.sc, and its privacy policy says every uploaded image is public to anyone with the link. Security researchers have pointed out that those links follow each other in sequence. WellSnap has no upload at all: Ctrl+D copies the screenshot and reminds you that nothing was uploaded.
Blur and callouts built in
Hide an email or a token with a mosaic that is built from the surroundings, so the original cannot be recovered. Number the steps 1, 2, 3 with a comment next to each.
Five screenshots, one paste
Collect screenshots into a set and paste them into Telegram as one album, with your comments as the caption. No more five separate messages.
Print Screen works again on Windows 11
If Lightshot stopped reacting to the key after a Windows update, Windows is giving it to Snipping Tool. WellSnap takes the key over with one click and can give it back later.
When Lightshot is the better choice
Lightshot can upload a screenshot and give you a short link in one click, and it can search the web for similar images. WellSnap does neither: if a public link is exactly what you want, Lightshot is quicker for that.
Switching takes a minute
Print Screen, Ctrl+C, Ctrl+S, Ctrl+A for the whole screen and Esc behave the same way.
Ctrl+D, Lightshot's upload, copies the screenshot instead, and Ctrl+E shows the editing keys.
If both apps want Print Screen, WellSnap names Lightshot as the likely holder and shows where to turn it off.
Questions and answers
Is WellSnap as fast as Lightshot?
The screen freezes the moment you press the key, the same as in Lightshot, and the toolbar appears right under the selection, just like you are used to.
Can WellSnap make a share link like prnt.sc?
No, on purpose. Screenshots go to your clipboard or a file. Paste them straight into the chat, the email or the task.
Ready the next time you press Print Screen
Install takes a few seconds and needs no admin rights on Windows.
